Code 95 Courses in Kyiv
Code 95 is confirmation of a driverʼs professional competence. Without it you cannot work in the international carriage of goods and passengers. Below is which program suits whom and how everything works.
What Code 95 is
Code 95 is a mark in the driverʼs licence or a separate driver qualification card. It is issued on the basis of the Certificate confirming a driverʼs professional competence (CPC). The document confirms that the driver is entitled to operate vehicles used for the commercial carriage of passengers or goods.
The legal basis is the Procedure approved by Order of the Ministry of Infrastructure No. 789 of 18.11.2020 (registered with the Ministry of Justice on 16.02.2021 under No. 198/35820). The card contains the driverʼs personal data, the vehicle categories and the period of validity.
Who needs it
- Drivers of Ukrainian carriers performing international transport on vehicles registered in Ukraine
- Drivers of categories C1, C, CE — carriage of goods
- Drivers of categories D1, D, DE — carriage of passengers
For domestic transport within Ukraine the requirement does not apply for now, but if you plan to work on international routes the document is arranged in advance: training takes from a week to a month and a half depending on the program.
Since 9 September 2025 it is also a licensing condition for the carrier itself: Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 712 of 18 June 2024 added confirmation of professional competence to the staffing requirements of the Licensing Conditions — for the international carriage of goods, dangerous goods and passengers by bus. That is why employers increasingly ask for the document already at the interview.

Three programs — choose your own
The only difference between them is when and which category you opened. If you are not sure, call us and we will determine the program from your licence in a minute.
The price depends on the program — it is set by your category and the date it was opened. We will give you the exact amount by phone or messenger.
- 5 days — Periodic course. Category «C» opened before 02.03.2021. Also suitable for the scheduled renewal every 5 years.
- 18 days — Initial reduced course. Categories «C1» and «C1E», as well as «C» with at least 3 years of experience, opened after 03.03.2024.
- 35 days — Initial course. Category «C» opened after 02.03.2021, with no work experience.
How the training works
- Application and document check. You leave a request or call. We look at the category and the date it was opened and name the program you need.
- Enrolment in a group. You send the set of documents, we enrol you in the nearest group and tell you the start date.
- In-person training. Classes are held in person. The Procedure allows no more than 12 hours of distance learning for the whole course, so you cannot complete Code 95 entirely online.
- Final test. After finishing the program you take a test and receive the Certificate confirming professional competence.
- Issue of documents. After the exam the training centre issues the certificate and the driver qualification card.

What is Code 95?
It is the «95» mark in the driverʼs licence or a separate qualification card. It confirms the professional competence of a driver who carries out the commercial carriage of goods or passengers. It is issued on the basis of the Certificate confirming professional competence (CPC).
How does the CPC certificate differ from the qualification card?
The CPC is the certificate confirming professional competence. Under clause 26 of Procedure No. 789 the training centre issues it together with the driver qualification card immediately after a successful exam, so there is no need to apply anywhere else separately. The centre enters the details of both documents into the state information system managed by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development.
Who is required to have Code 95?
Drivers of Ukrainian carriers who perform international transport on vehicles registered in Ukraine. It applies to categories C1, C, CE for goods and D1, D, DE for passengers.
Is Code 95 required for transport only within Ukraine?
For now the requirement applies to international transport. For domestic trips the document is not mandatory, but drivers often arrange it in advance if they plan to move onto foreign routes.
Which course do I need — 5, 18 or 35 days?
This is determined by the category and the date it was opened. Category «C» before 02.03.2021 — a 5-day periodic course. Categories «C1» and «C1E», as well as «C» with at least 3 years of experience opened after 03.03.2024 — an 18-day initial reduced course. Category «C» after 02.03.2021 with no experience — a 35-day initial course.
How long is Code 95 valid?
Five years from the date of issue. After that the document is renewed — a 5-day periodic course is enough for this.
What should I do if the validity has already expired?
You take a 5-day periodic course and renew the document. There is no need to return to the initial program, even after a long break.
Can Code 95 be renewed early?
Yes. Many drivers take the periodic course a few months before the term ends so as not to interrupt work while waiting for the document.
Can I study remotely?
Fully online — no. Procedure No. 789 allows in-person, distance or a combination of both, but the distance part cannot exceed 12 hours for the whole course. That is why offers to «complete Code 95 online in two days» do not meet the requirements. Our classes are in person, in Kyiv.
How long does the whole process take?
From a week for the periodic course to a month and a half for the initial one. You do not need to travel separately for the card: the training centre issues the certificate and the driver qualification card after the exam.
What documents are needed to enrol?
An application on our form, a copy of the driverʼs licence, a copy of the Ukrainian citizenʼs passport, a copy of the taxpayer card and a copy of the international passport. Copies can be sent by messenger.
How much does the training cost?
Training starts from UAH 4,000. The final amount depends on the program — they differ several times over in length. We will give the exact cost by phone or messenger as soon as we determine which course you need.
Is the Ukrainian Code 95 valid in Poland and other EU countries?
Yes. A driver qualification card issued in Ukraine is valid across the countries of the European Union.
Do bus drivers need Code 95?
Yes, for categories D1, D and DE the requirement is the same as for the goods categories. We choose the program individually — it depends on the date the category was opened and the length of experience.
Does the requirement apply to the carrier, not only the driver?
Yes. Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 712 of 18 June 2024 added confirmation of professional competence to the staffing requirements of the Licensing Conditions. The rule has applied since 9 September 2025 and covers the international carriage of goods, dangerous goods and passengers by bus. That is why the document is increasingly required by the employer, not only by border control.
What happens if you work on international routes without Code 95?
This breaches the conditions for admission to transport operations. Both the driver and the carrier bear responsibility, and the trip may be stopped at the border or during an inspection.
Can I take the course if the category was opened very recently?
Yes. For newly opened categories there is a 35-day initial course — it is designed precisely for drivers with no work experience.
Where exactly does the training take place?
Classes are in person, in Kyiv. We accept enrolment documents remotely — via Viber or WhatsApp, there is no need to come in advance.
