Who it suits

• Category «C» obtained before 02.03.2021
• Your current Code 95 is about to expire or has already expired
• You need to renew the document on the regular schedule — once every 5 years

If your category was obtained later or you have no work experience, the periodic course will not fit — you will need the reduced initial or full initial programme.

What the programme covers

Periodic training is not a repeat of the initial course but an update on the areas that change most often:

• Changes to international carriage rules and the permit system
• Driver working and rest hours, using the tachograph
• Efficient driving, road safety and fuel economy
• Securing and positioning the load
• Actions in emergencies, first aid
• Preparing trip documents

How it works

1. Call or requestWe check your category and the date it was obtained to confirm this is the right programme for you.
2. DocumentsYou send the package and we enrol you in the nearest group.
3. Five days of classesIn person, on the group schedule.
4. Test and certificateYou take the final test and receive the CPC.
5. CardYou receive the driver qualification card together with the certificate.

What to prepare in advance

The package is small and can be gathered in a single evening. Copies are sent by messenger — there is no need to come to the office for this.

• Driving licence — it shows us your categories and the dates they were obtained, which determines the programme
• Ukrainian citizen passport — an ID card or the pages of a booklet passport
• Taxpayer card — the identification code
• International passport — needed for the correct transliteration of your surname and first name into Latin script. They will appear in the document exactly as written there, so it is best to avoid any discrepancy with the international passport
• Application — we send the form along with the rest of the instructions

If a document is not to hand right now, that is no reason to put off calling: in most cases the package can be completed by the time the group starts. The full list with explanations is on the Documents page.

How the course is structured

Periodic training is built differently from the initial course. You do not learn the profession again — you update what has changed over five years. The programme therefore focuses on real-life cases rather than theory for its own sake: the group members have been driving for years, and the classes are built around their questions.

The course cannot be taken fully online: Procedure No. 789 allows a distance format, but no more than 12 hours across the whole course. So offers to «complete it online in two days» are a good reason to check whether the centre is even entitled to issue the document. Our classes are in person.

Five days is the shortest of the three programmes. Most students plan it for a week between trips: we announce the group schedule in advance as soon as the intake is formed, so there is always time to plan.

When to start the paperwork

The most common mistake is waiting until the current document is about to expire. The training itself takes a week, but there is also the time to form a group. If you start a month or six weeks before the term ends, you will not be a single day without a valid document.

If the term has already expired, that is no problem — the periodic course stays the same. But while you have no document you cannot work on international routes, and every week of delay is a lost trip.
