Code 95 in Ukraine or in Poland — which to choose
Drivers often ask where it is cheaper to arrange the document. The answer depends not on price but on your situation: where you plan to live and who you plan to work for. We look at both options — and point you to the right place in each.
The short answer
These are two different documents from two different systems.
The Ukrainian one is arranged under Procedure No. 789: the training centre issues the CPC certificate together with the driver qualification card. It is used for international routes, including in European Union countries.
The Polish one is a different procedure with a different document: a świadectwo kwalifikacji zawodowej, after which the "95" marking is added to the Polish driving licence.

The main mistake when choosing
A driver looks at the price of a course in Poland, compares it with the Ukrainian one, and decides to go. Only later does he find out that the Polish procedure is designed for someone connected to Poland: with residence, work, and often the exchange of the driving licence for a Polish one too. For someone who has simply come for two weeks, it does not work.

What to consider if arranging it in Poland
- A connection to Poland. The procedure is designed for those who are present and working there, not those who come for a course.
- Driving licence. During a long stay, a foreign licence is subject to exchange for a Polish one — a separate process with its own timelines.
- Language of instruction. Classes and the final assessment are in Polish.
- Related costs. On top of the course itself come accommodation and the time you are not working.

What to consider if arranging it in Ukraine
- The licence determines the programme. The category and the date it was opened, not your preference. The periodic course is 35 hours, the reduced initial one 140, the full initial one 280.
- Study is in person. The Procedure allows no more than 12 hours of the whole course remotely.
- The centre issues the documents. The CPC certificate and the qualification card together, no later than 5 working days from the test date.
- Validity is five years, then renewal via a five-day periodic course.
